abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be used for electrophotography in which there is no discomfort due to odor generated by volatile components during use, there is no contamination of charging wires and cleaning wires in corotron charging, and fixing at low temperature and toner blocking properties are excellent. A toner and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. SOLUTION: A non-crystalline polyester resin, a colorant, a release agent, and mother particles containing fine particles having a function of adsorbing or decomposing volatile components generated from toner constituents, and volatility generated from toner constituents. An electrostatic charge developing toner comprising a surface layer containing a resin having a function of adsorbing a component, wherein the thickness of the surface layer is less than 0.7 μm, and the fine particles are observed in a transmission electron microscope image Present at a position of 0.2 to 0.7 μm from the surface of the toner to be formed, the equivalent circle diameter of the fine particles is 0.1 to 0.7 μm, and further, the amorphous polyester resin, the colorant, and the release agent. A toner for developing electrostatic charge, wherein the mold agent is present in a range of 0.7 μm or more and 50% or less of the average toner diameter from the surface of the toner, and a method for producing the same.
