abstract | Disclosed is a polyflux collider arrangement for a dry powder dosing device that can target a desired portion of the lung with a high particulate fraction and that can administer a higher total amount of drug. A polyflux collider arrangement that can be used with a powder dispenser has a body at least partially enclosing a volume and a single outlet opening and includes a first inlet opening. And a polyflux collider 32 in communication with a volume surrounded by the second inlet opening 46 and the outlet opening, the outlet opening being spaced from the reference plane, during inhalation of a single dose, A negative pressure is applied to the outlet opening that draws a first flow of dry powder from the first inlet opening into the enclosed volume and toward the outlet opening. This negative pressure likewise draws a second flow of dry powder from the second inlet opening into the enclosed volume and directs it towards the outlet opening. [Selection] Figure 1 |
