Methods for delivering therapeutic agents to tissues using nanoparticles are provided. The method comprises a step of delivering nanoparticles having a surface property of 10-100 nm in diameter and a depth of 5-50 nm and a therapeutic agent to a tissue, and irradiating the tissue with a pressure wave.
