abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white and off-white poly (arylene ether) composition exhibiting physical properties and flame retardant properties necessary for electric wire and cable insulation and color stability after prolonged light exposure. 10 to 45% by weight poly (arylene ether), 5 to 40% by weight hydrogenated block copolymer of alkenyl aromatic and conjugated diene, 10 to 55% by weight ethylene and C 3-12 -α- A thermoplastic composition comprising a copolymer with an olefin, 8-25% by weight plasticizer, 1-12% by weight white pigment, and 0.1-5% by weight UV stabilizer. The plasticizer contains bisphenol A bis (diphenyl phosphate). The composition exhibits excellent light stability and is particularly useful for forming white or off-white cable insulation.
