An object of the present invention is to provide a light-resistant resin composition based on a modified PPE which is excellent in light discoloration resistance, has little problem of smoke during injection molding and adheres to a mold, and is environmentally preferable. A resin (A) component comprising a combination of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin, a hindered amine light stabilizer (B) component, a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorber (C) component, an epoxy compound (D) component, and A light-resistant resin composition based on a modified PPE comprising a phosphate ester (E) component to be used accordingly.
