abstract | The technology of the present invention relates to a process for producing hydroxydiphosphonic acid containing an amino moiety. The method specifically includes reacting liquid P 4 O 6 with an aminocarboxylic acid in the presence of a sulfonic acid. The aminocarboxylic acid is selected from three structurally different compounds. Aminohydroxydiphosphonic acid can be synthesized with high selectivity and purity, and unreacted starting materials can be easily and conveniently recycled. |
