titleOfInvention | Use of bis-maleic anhydride cross-linking agent for fixation of cell or tissue samples |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel bis-maleic anhydride. The present invention particularly relates to the discovery that bis-maleic anhydride crosslinking agents can be used for storage / immobilization of cell or tissue samples. Advantageously, the bis-maleic anhydride cross-linking agent requires fixation of the cell or tissue sample, while at the same time the fixative is later used in procedures such as immunohistochemistry, fluorescence in situ hybridization or RT-PCR. Can be used in methods that require little or no effect on the detection of proteins or nucleic acids. |
