abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium in which occurrence of cracks in an ink receiving layer is suppressed, the obtained image has high ozone resistance, and the bronzing phenomenon is suppressed. SOLUTION: In a recording medium having a support, a second ink receiving layer, and a first ink receiving layer in this order, the first ink receiving layer comprises a vapor phase silica, a binder, and a cation having a sulfonyl group.
