abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a magnet with a reduced holding amount of rare earth elements and higher holding power than before, and to provide a treatment liquid necessary for producing the magnet. A first solution for forming a first film on the surface of a rare earth iron-based magnet, and a second solution for forming a second film on the surface of the rare earth iron-based magnet on which the first film is formed. A treatment liquid is composed of the solution.
