abstract |
A stent having sufficient radial strength while maintaining longitudinal flexibility is provided. The stent 1 comprises a series of short segments or sections 2 connected by at least one polymer fiber or wire. The polymer fiber or wire may be biodegradable or durable. The fiber polymer may also include beads, blobs and bulges in the fiber.
