abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a semiconductor device having a new structure in which stored contents can be retained even when power is not supplied and the number of writings is not limited. A semiconductor device is formed using a material capable of sufficiently reducing off-state current of a transistor, for example, an oxide semiconductor material which is a wide gap semiconductor. By using a semiconductor material capable of sufficiently reducing the off-state current of the transistor, information can be retained for a long time. Further, the timing of the potential change of the signal line is delayed from the timing of the potential change of the write word line. As a result, it is possible to prevent data writing errors.
