In Ni to Ni electroforming, it is possible to form a Ni double disk having a good concavo-convex pattern with good reproducibility and applicable to a scale of less than 100 nm. In a Ni master 12 having a fine concavo-convex pattern on its surface, a release layer 14 containing a fluorine compound is provided on the surface along the concavo-convex pattern.
