abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a graphite intercalation compound capable of efficiently producing a graphite intercalation compound in which an insertion compound or ions derived therefrom are inserted uniformly between graphite layer surfaces. The method for producing a graphite intercalation compound according to the present invention is characterized in that a graphite intercalation compound is produced by bringing an intercalation compound into contact with graphite in the presence of a supercritical fluid.
