abstract |
Disclosed is an outer periphery coating material for forming an outer periphery coating layer of a honeycomb structure, which enables good color development by a laser. The outer peripheral coating material of the present invention comprises a laser coloring powder containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a metal and a metal compound that develops a color different from the original color by a laser, and the laser coloring powder. The filler contains a ceramic powder made of ceramics other than the material to be used, and a dispersion medium. The filler contains 20 to 400 parts by mass of the laser coloring powder with respect to 100 parts by mass of the ceramic powder. The outer periphery coating layer formed from the outer periphery coating material of the present invention is colored so that the metal or the metal compound constituting the laser coloring powder in the outer periphery coating layer exhibits a dark color by irradiating laser light. Printing that does not deteriorate due to chemical treatment or heat treatment can be realized. [Selection figure] None |
