abstract | The present invention relates to an electrophotographic photosensitive device capable of outputting a high-quality image with less fluctuation in image density over printing and in-plane density unevenness of printed matter by further reducing potential fluctuation over printing and in-plane potential fluctuation. Provided are an image forming method, an image forming apparatus, and a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus using the same, high image quality, long life, and excellent cost performance. At least a charge generation layer, a hole transport layer, and a hole transport protective layer are sequentially laminated on a conductive support, and the protective layer contains at least a radical polymerizable hole transport compound by ultraviolet rays or electron beams. An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising a three-dimensional cross-linked film obtained by chain polymerization by irradiating with a specific naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid diimide compound in the protective layer.
