abstract [PROBLEMS] To prevent halation without incurring costs, and to prevent the deterioration of color reproducibility of an image obtained by irradiating broadband light other than treatment light or excitation light. Broadband light BB from a broadband light source 30 is irradiated into a body cavity. The excitation light Ld having a central wavelength of 405 nm is irradiated to the tumor affected part in the body cavity where the photosensitive substance is accumulated. The irradiation with the excitation light Ld generates fluorescent light FL from the tumor affected area. The CCD 44 provided at the distal end portion 16a of the electronic endoscope images the inside of the body cavity where the tumor affected part is located. In the normal light image mode, imaging signals are output from the R1 pixel, the G pixel, and the B pixel having a dark filter that reduces the excitation light Ld among the pixels of the CCD 44. In the treatment light image mode, an imaging signal is output from an R2 pixel having a dark filter that attenuates the treatment light Lt among the pixels of the CCD 44. [Selection] Figure 2
