abstract | 【Task】 Provided is an ethylene polymer production catalyst and an ethylene polymer production method characterized in that an ethylene polymer excellent in processability can be produced by observing two peaks in GPC measurement. In addition, two peaks were observed in GPC measurement, a fraction having a number average molecular weight and a molecular weight distribution in a specific range, and a fraction having a Mn of 100,000 or more when molecular weight fractionation was in a specific ratio and obtained by molecular weight fractionation. An ethylene polymer having excellent strength and workability is provided by having a long-chain branch of a specific value or more in a component having Mn of 100,000 or more. A catalyst for producing an ethylene-based polymer in which a transition metal compound, an organically modified clay having a specific structure, and an organoaluminum compound are combined is used.
