Method for producing degradation products from cellulose-containing materials |
abstract |
The present invention provides a practical method for treating a cellulose-containing material by further decomposing cellulose using an ionic liquid. The cellulose-containing material and ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate are brought into contact with each other so that the ionic liquid penetrates into the cellulose-containing material. By such treatment, the structure of cellulose is relaxed and efficiently decomposed by cellulase. [Selection figure] None |
