A photosensitive composition for forming a partition wall of an optical element capable of forming a black matrix having both high light shielding properties and low dielectric properties, and having both high light shielding properties and low dielectric properties obtained thereby. A black matrix and a method for manufacturing the same, and a method for manufacturing a color filter on array having the black matrix are provided. An alkali-soluble resin (A) having a photocurable ethylenically unsaturated double bond, a photopolymerization initiator (B), a black pigment (C), and a hollow having an average primary particle size of 20 to 100 nm. A photosensitive composition for forming partition walls of an optical element, comprising fine particles (D), wherein the content of the hollow fine particles (D) is 5 to 30% by mass with respect to the total solid content of the composition.
