titleOfInvention | Polarizing plate, liquid crystal display device, and IPS (in-plane switching) mode liquid crystal display device |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a polarizing plate that does not leak light even when viewed from an oblique direction by heat generated from a backlight, as seen from an oblique direction, and an IPS (in-plane) using the same. It is to provide a switching mode mode liquid crystal display device. In a polarizing plate in which at least a first protective film, a polarizing film, and a second protective film are laminated in this order, the second protective film is at least a transparent film and a polymer that is substantially vertically aligned. A polarizing plate comprising an optically anisotropic layer containing a crystalline liquid crystal compound, and wherein the first protective film has a void holding layer having a porosity of at least 30% on the side far from the polarizing film.
