abstract |
The present invention provides a silicone hydrogel material having a relatively high oxygen permeability and a relatively low modulus. A relatively low modulus is achieved by adding a chain transfer agent to the polymerizable fluid composition in an amount sufficient to provide a reduced modulus to the resulting silicone hydrogel material. Furthermore, the present invention provides a silicone hydrogel contact lens comprising the silicone hydrogel material of the present invention, a method for producing the silicone hydrogel material of the present invention, and a method for producing the silicone hydrogel contact lens of the present invention. |
