abstract |
The present invention provides cell-adhesive polymer coatings for products having nanofibrillar structures. The coating includes a synthetic, non-biodegradable polymer having at least one pendant amine group, the polymer being covalently immobilized on the product by a latent reactive group. The present invention also provides a method for culturing cells for a long period of time using a nanofibril structure coated with the polymer. Nanofibril structures coated with the polymers of the present invention have been found to be particularly useful for the proliferation and differentiation of cells, including neural progenitor cells. |
