abstract |
The present invention provides a liquid crystal alignment film that exhibits excellent liquid crystal alignment regulating power (liquid crystal pretilt angle expression) and that can suppress the accumulation of residual DC upon application of thermal stress, which is considered to be one of the factors causing liquid crystal panel image sticking. A liquid crystal aligning agent is provided. The liquid crystal aligning agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a polymer having a specific repeating unit, a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic dianhydride and a diamine, and an imidized polymer thereof.
