PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure excellent in thermal shock resistance and heat resistance. SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure 1 of the present invention is a monolithic ceramic honeycomb structure having a structure in which a segment portion 2 and a connecting portion 3 are connected. By adjusting the strength of the connecting portion 3, the entire honeycomb structure 1 is obtained. The structure is characterized by mitigating thermal expansion and thermal shock.
