The present invention provides a highly damped rubber composition having excellent processability when unvulcanized, less temperature dependence of elastic modulus, and excellent damping performance. The rubber contains 80 to 180 parts by weight of silica and 3 to 50 parts by weight of an attenuating agent having two or more polar groups with respect to 100 parts by weight of rubber that does not have a polar group as a base rubber. The attenuating agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a rosin derivative having two or more hydroxyl groups, a xylene resin, and a phenolic anti-aging agent having two or more hydroxyl groups.
