A purified green tea extract having improved bitterness and aftertaste is provided. SOLUTION: (1) The sum of the mass contents of (A) myricetin, (B) quercetin and (C) kaempferol, and (D) the sum of the mass contents of epigallocatechin gallate and (E) gallocatechin gallate. The ratio is ((A) + (B) + (C)) / ((D) + (E)) = 00000001-0.010, (2) 0.01 to 29% by mass of the sum of the contents of (D) epigallocatechin gallate and (E) gallocatechin gallate in the non-polymer catechins ((D) + (E)), (3) The gallate content in the non-polymer catechins is 0.01 to 49% by mass.
