abstract A novel antibacterial paint capable of forming a thin film on a surface of an article to which antibacterial properties are to be imparted and being excellent in transparency, appearance, surface smoothness and the like, and capable of forming a film excellent in antibacterial properties; An antibacterial article having a coating formed using the antibacterial paint, an antibacterial film formed using the antibacterial paint, and an antibacterial tape using the antibacterial film are provided. An antibacterial coating material comprises silver particles having an average particle diameter of 50 nm or less, in which at least a part of the surface is coated with a dispersant, and a binder. The antibacterial article has a film formed by applying the antibacterial paint on the surface of the substrate. The antibacterial film was formed by applying the antibacterial paint into a film and then solidifying it. In the antibacterial tape, an adhesive layer was laminated on one side of the antibacterial film. [Selection figure] None
