PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery using silicon and silicon oxide, having high energy density, good cycle characteristics even at high temperature, and high charge / discharge efficiency at the first charge / discharge. SOLUTION: Particles constituting a negative electrode active material are obtained by heating active material particles having a mixture of simple substance silicon and silicon oxide as a core and coated with a mixed composition carbon of amorphous carbon and graphite carbon on the periphery. It consists of a mixture of thermosetting resins that cause a dehydration condensation reaction, and the active material particles and the active material particles and the current collector foil are bound via the thermosetting resin. A negative electrode containing the particles; a positive electrode capable of inserting and extracting lithium ions; and an electrolyte disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Here, a solvent and a sulfonic acid ester are included as an electrolyte component. [Selection figure] None |
