PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device having a coating film which has at least antibacterial properties and can have other performances. A film composed mainly of a methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer bonded with silver is formed on the surface of a base material made of a synthetic resin. Silver bonded to the film exhibits antibacterial action. In addition, since the methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer, which is the main component of the coating, can bind urokinase, anti-thrombotic substances such as urokinase in addition to silver should be bound to the methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer. It has antibacterial and antithrombotic properties. Further, the methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer exhibits lubricity when wet if it forms a salt by binding an alkali metal by alkali treatment or the like. [Selection figure] None |
