Cell-specific replication competent virus vector containing a self-processing peptide cleavage site |
abstract |
A cell-specific replication competent viral vector comprising a self-processing peptide cleavage sequence is provided. A target replication competent viral vector comprises two or more co-transcribed genes that are under the transcriptional control of the same heterologous transcriptional regulatory element (TRE), at least a second gene comprising a self-processing cleavage sequence or It is under translational control of the 2A sequence. Examples of vector structures may further include additional proteolytic cleavage sites that provide a means for removing self-processing peptide sequences from viral vectors. |
