titleOfInvention | Method for producing negatively chargeable toner |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a negatively chargeable toner which is excellent in charging stability at the time of printing a large number of sheets and has excellent durability without causing unevenness in a printed image. [Solution] The method for producing a negatively chargeable toner of the present invention comprises toner base particles obtained by subjecting a mixture containing at least a resin and an organic solvent to phase inversion emulsification in an aqueous medium, granulating, and then drying through a washing-dehydrating step. In the negatively chargeable toner manufacturing method in which a plurality of externally added fine particles are externally added in multiple stages using a spherical mixing treatment tank, a water content of 20 to 40 mass is used as the toner base particles subjected to the drying treatment. In addition, when adding external fine particles having an average particle size of 30 to 50 nm at a ratio of 0.1 to 3.0% by mass with a hydrophobic solvent content of 200 to 1,000 ppm, high speed rotary mixing And adding toner with a shearing force smaller than the shearing force in the spherical mixing tank to obtain toner base particles having an average circularity of 0.94 to 0.99.
