titleOfInvention Process for producing optically active β-hydroxyimine compound
abstract The present invention provides a technique for performing an addition reaction of an encarbamate and an aldehyde with high diastereoselectivity and high enantioselectivity. A method for producing an optically active β-hydroxyimine compound, wherein an addition reaction of an encarbamate and an aldehyde is carried out in the presence of a compound represented by the following formula (I) and a rhodium complex. (In the formula, Ar represents an optionally substituted aryl group, R 6 and R 7 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl group or aryl group, R 6 and R 7 may form the same ring together). The present invention can produce an optically active β-hydroxyimine with high diastereoselectivity and good enantioselectivity. Further, the asymmetric reaction can be carried out under relatively mild conditions, such as being able to be carried out at a reaction temperature of around 0 ° C.
