An object of the present invention is to provide a lithium secondary battery that is small in volume change due to charge and discharge and excellent in cycle characteristics. The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery having a positive electrode capable of occluding and releasing lithium and a negative electrode capable of occluding and releasing lithium, wherein the positive electrode has lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt having a layered crystal structure. It has a composite oxide and a lithium-manganese composite oxide having a layered crystal structure distributed in the composite oxide. [Selection] Figure 1 |
