abstract |
To provide a composite article having a smooth surface having sufficient fracture resistance suitable for architectural use such as an entrance door. A weatherproof composite article is produced by an open casting method. Such a composite article has a smooth surface with no foamed portion, and has sufficient fracture resistance to pass an impact test using a Dynatap tester. Such a composite article is composed of a non-reinforced barrier coat made of polyurethane and a fiber-reinforced polyurethane layer. This composite article is particularly useful in the manufacture of doors and panels. [Selection figure] None |
