abstract In manufacturing a battery, an electrode sheet and a separator can be temporarily bonded to form an electrode sheet / separator laminate, whereby the battery can be efficiently manufactured without mutual movement of the electrode sheet and the separator. After the battery is manufactured, it not only excels in ion permeability and electrical insulation, but also functions as an electrode sheet / separator assembly having strong adhesion with the electrode sheet, and has high performance. A battery separator that provides a battery with excellent safety and a method for producing such a battery separator are provided. Furthermore, the manufacturing method of the battery using such a battery separator is provided. According to the present invention, a pair of films made of a reactive polymer having a cross-linked structure and having a functional group capable of further cross-linking by reacting with a polyfunctional cross-linking agent are spaced apart from each other and have insulating properties. There is provided a battery separator characterized in that the fine particles are preferably bonded and supported between the pair of films in a single layer so as to have a gap between them.
