abstract |
The present invention is directed to the acylated amino acid amidylpyrazole of formula (I) and related compounds. The present invention is also directed to pharmaceutical formulations comprising such compounds or pharmaceutically acceptable salt forms thereof. The present invention is further directed to methods of inhibiting the release and / or synthesis of β-amyloid peptide, methods of inhibiting γ-secretase activity, and methods for treating neurological diseases associated with production of β-amyloid peptide. This method comprises administering to a subject a pharmaceutical formulation comprising an effective amount of a compound of formula (I). The compounds of formula (I) are useful in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. |
