titleOfInvention Succinic acid production method and apparatus for biodegradable plastic production from agricultural and forestry waste such as rice straw and waste wood
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing an organic acid such as succinic acid necessary for biodegradable plastic production from agricultural and forestry waste such as rice straw and waste wood. SOLUTION: (1) Succinic acid was produced using a saccharification medium obtained from agricultural and forestry waste such as rice straw, rice husk, rice bran, wheat bran, and waste wood as a growth substrate for succinic acid fermentation bacteria. (2) Inoculating and culturing a sample suspension of fermented food, soil, compost, etc. on an agar medium containing a neutralized product of each biological waste saccharified product as the only nutrient source and adding a pH indicator such as BCP. A method for obtaining a “microorganism strain capable of fermenting biological waste to succinic acid” characterized by separating an organic acid-producing strain by using a color change of the medium suggesting a decrease in the pH of the medium as an index, and (3) occurring after organic acid fermentation (4) In this way, various organic acids such as lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, acetic acid, formic acid and propionic acid are converted into organic acids using residues or fermentation broth. A manufacturing method can also be provided. [Selection figure] None
