abstract | 【Task】 The present invention is intended to provide a gas barrier film having a high gas barrier property at low cost and a method capable of easily and stably producing such a gas barrier film. [Solution] The gas barrier film of the present invention is a film having two or more inorganic compound layers on a polymer film, and has a metal oxide silicon compound layer between the inorganic compound layers. In the method for producing a gas barrier film of the present invention, after unwinding the polymer film, the metal is then vaporized, and an inorganic compound layer is formed on the film surface using the metal vapor.
