[Purpose] While maintaining the property of suppressing light interference of the hard coat for the high refractive lens, it is possible to suppress the blackening phenomenon against ultraviolet rays and to suppress the discoloration and decoloration (fading) of the color lens. To provide a hard coat composition that does not impair aesthetics even when used for a long period of time. [Configuration] A hard coat composition used for forming a hard coat film on an optical lens substrate. An alkoxysilane hydrolyzate and niobium pentoxide (Nb 2 O 5 ) fine particles (niobium oxide fine particles) dispersed in a colloidal state.
