titleOfInvention | Mannose fermenting zymobacter transformed microorganism |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformed microorganism belonging to the genus Zymobacter, which is useful for ethanol production from a raw material containing mannose, for example, ethanol production for fuel from cellulosic biomass, which can produce ethanol from mannose. SOLUTION: A microorganism producing a mannose metabolic enzyme selected from fructose kinase and phosphomannose isomerase is used as a DNA donor, and a recombinant DNA obtained by binding the DNA fragment to a vector and the recombinant DNA are introduced into a zymobacter microorganism. A transformed microorganism capable of producing ethanol using the mannose obtained as a substrate. [Selection figure] None |
