titleOfInvention Anisotropic conductive adhesive with PTC characteristics
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic conductive adhesive having PTC characteristics while preventing circuit damage when an overcurrent occurs by giving PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) characteristics to the anisotropic conductive adhesive. It is to provide an anisotropic conductive adhesive capable of maintaining durability and reliability. An anisotropic conductive adhesive having PTC characteristics according to the present invention includes an insulating adhesive component and a large number of conductive particles dispersed in the adhesive component, and the insulating adhesive component includes a crystalline polymer. Since the anisotropic conductive adhesive according to the present invention contains a crystalline polymer, if the temperature rises and the bulk expands, the electrical resistance increases rapidly and no current flows, which plays a switching role. Since it has both PTC characteristics, it also has a circuit protection function. Therefore, the circuit can be shut off when an overcurrent occurs without a separate circuit protection element such as a PTC thermistor.
