abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a radiation curable binder containing an allophanate group and a binder obtained by the method. The method of the present invention comprises: (A) one or more compounds containing a uretdione group, (B) one or more OH-functional compounds containing groups (radiation curable groups) that react with ethylenically unsaturated compounds with polymerization upon exposure to actinic radiation; (C) optionally an NCO-reactive compound other than (B); (D) in the presence of a catalyst containing at least one tetrasubstituted ammonium or phosphonium salt of an aliphatic or alicyclic carboxylic acid, Reacting at a temperature of ≦ 130 ° C. to form an allophanate group by opening of the uretdione ring.
