PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having a small film thickness difference of a polarizer even in a large area, and to provide a liquid crystal display device with little brightness unevenness by using the polarizing plate. A roll-type polarizing plate in which a protective film is bonded to at least one side of a polarizer made of polyvinyl alcohol having a polymerization degree of 1000 to 3800, and the difference between the maximum film thickness and the minimum film thickness in the width direction of the polarizer. Is a roll-shaped polarizing plate characterized by having a thickness of 0 to 3 μm. Moreover, it is set as the liquid crystal display device using the polarizing plate cut out from this roll-shaped polarizing plate. [Selection figure] None |
