abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper having high rigidity, high paper strength, high bulk and excellent printability. SOLUTION: At least one surface of a base paper is a coated paper having a coating layer mainly composed of a pigment and an adhesive, the base paper containing high-yield pulp made of hardwood and having an aspect ratio. By adding calcium carbonate having a ratio of 20 or more and calcium carbonate having an aspect ratio of less than 12 in a ratio of 1: 2 to 2: 1 so that the ash content (JIS P 8128) is 10 to 15%, A coated paper having high rigidity and high paper strength and excellent printability was obtained.
