Devices and methods for performing biological or chemical analysis are provided. The apparatus comprises an array of three-dimensional microcolumns protruding from the support plate. Each microcolumn has a relatively flat first surface away from the support plate. A number of different biological material arrays may be attached to the first surface. The device can improve the efficiency of binding assays using microarrays for high throughput capability when used in combination with microtiter plates with existing wells. |
