Novel membranes having various polymers containing heterocyclic nitrogen are described. These membranes can be used in electrochemical sensors such as amperometric biosensors. In particular, these membranes effectively control the analyte flux to the measurement electrodes of the electrochemical sensor, thereby improving the electrochemical sensor to function over a significant range of analyte concentrations. It also describes an electrochemical sensor with this kind of membrane. |
