abstract The present invention provides a method for producing lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate capable of reducing the hydroxyl group content contained in a product during production. The method for producing lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate according to the present invention includes a product gas containing trifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride and sulfonyldifluoride by fluorination of methanesulfonyl fluoride in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride by electrolysis. And a step of reacting the product gas with an aqueous solution or slurry of lithium carbonate to obtain an aqueous solution containing lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate, lithium fluoride, carbonic acid and lithium sulfate, and removing lithium fluoride and lithium carbonate from the aqueous solution And a step of concentrating and drying the aqueous solution from which lithium fluoride has been removed.
