abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material which is excellent in preserving storage (raw storage), small in exposure coloration on the background, and excellent in image stability (light fastness) of the recording part. A recording material characterized by having a recording layer containing an acyl hydrazide compound and a diazo compound on a support. Particularly, the acyl hydrazide compound is represented by the following general formula (1). It is preferable to contain the represented compound. In the general formula (1), R 1 represents an electron-withdrawing group having a Hammett substituent constant σ p = 0.0 to 1.0. R 2 and R 3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, an acyl group, or a sulfonyl group, and R 2 and R 3 may be connected to each other to form a ring.
