abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for a pressure detection device which is small and highly sensitive and can accurately detect an external pressure. A package for a pressure detection device is provided on an insulating base body 1 having a mounting portion 1b on which a semiconductor element 3 is mounted on one main surface, and on the surface and inside of the insulating base body 1. An insulating plate 2 joined to the insulating substrate 1 in a flexible state so as to form a sealed space between the plurality of wiring conductors 5 to which the electrodes are electrically connected and the other main surface of the insulating substrate 1; A first electrode 7 for forming a capacitance that is attached to the other main surface of the insulating substrate 1 in the sealed space and is electrically connected to one of the wiring conductors 5; A second electrode 9 for forming a capacitance, which is attached to the surface so as to face the first electrode 7 and is electrically connected to the other one of the wiring conductors 5, The second electrode 9 is made of a metallized layer whose surface is polished to be a flat surface.
