abstract An optical filter for a PDP having a high surface hardness and in which light deterioration of a dye contained in a color tone correction layer is eliminated. An anti-reflection layer, an ultraviolet absorption layer, and a color tone correction layer are included in this order from the viewing side, and the anti-reflection layer is formed by sputtering, and two or more layers having different refractive indexes are laminated. An optical filter for a plasma display panel, wherein the ultraviolet absorbing layer is made of a thermoplastic resin film containing an ultraviolet absorber, and the color tone correcting layer contains a dye having a color tone correcting ability.
